The Boeing 767-300ER is an awesome aircraft and consistent money maker for airlines. Did you know this aircraft has been in service since the late 1980s? Vancouver-based Canadian Airlines International operated a fleet of 25 of these amazing aircraft between the late 1980s and 2001, which is when they were acquired by Air Canada as a last ditch effort effort to stave off bankruptcy and massive job losses.
Here is a short VIDEO TEASER of this show to give you a taste for what’s on deck:
Throughout the 1990s the Boeing 767-300ER was a very successful airliner for Canadian. It served on all of the airlines overseas scheduled routes and was always popular on long haul domestic sectors between Toronto and Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. The 767-300ER was considered as a comfortable and reliable aircraft by Canadian and it was the ideal aircraft for long haul routes that could not support the Boeing 747-400.
This 13 minute movie was put together by Canadian Airlines International in the early 1990s to promote the then new airline to staff and passengers. We suspect the film was played on the airline’s inflight entertainment system of the day.
