During the ravages of the Vietnam War in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Uncle Sam had a huge logistics requirement to move troops and supplies between the continental United States and the Vietnam War zone in Southeast Asia.

The US Air Force and other military branches engaged in heavy airlift services using military transports. But this massive undertaking was also complemented by the civilian airline sector whereby both scheduled and specialized cargo airlines operated special Vietnam War charters on behalf of Uncle Sam, and this story was documented at the time in this promotional movie.
