This late 1960s publicity film was made to promote the then relatively new Canadair CL-215 air tranker, a Canadian built and designed surface water scooper built to fire forest fires. Over the last 50 years the CL-215 has undergone a number of enhancements and updates and today it operates as a safe and reliable water bomber all around the world, with regular forest saving efforts in Canada, Europe, Australia and the United States.
