In 1967 Wardair Canada added their first jetliner to the fleet in the form of a single Boeing 727 series 100 CF-FUN, and it was on affinity charters between Edmonton, Alberta and London’s Gatwick airport. This airline publicity film was produced to promote Wardair’s new jetliner service with the 727, and we are pleased to present it here on JetFlix TV, with special thanks to former Wardair employee Nick Hughes, who had the film salted away for the past 50 years.

The film charts a typical Wardair Boeing 727 trans-atlantic charter flight, which always involved a tech stop for fuel at Sondrestrom Greeland on the Gatwick. This was promoted by Wardair as being part of the adventure of travel by air, and the passengers seemed to quite to enjoy the chance to see a place that few people got to see back then, which is even the case today.

This film also explains the other countries in Europe that passengers from Canada might want to include in their European vacation itinerary, and then concludes with the return flight back to Canada. We are pleased to share this small teaser clip from the film:
